Born in London and after gaining and MSc in applied mathematics, Jaydeep started his career as an aerospace engineer followed by automotive engineering and worked for British Aerospace in England and Lear Motors in Germany.
After being inspired by Muhammed Yunus’ book, “Banker to the Poor”, and attaining an MSc in Finance from Cass Business School in London, he moved to India in 2006 to serve poor communities through microfinance. He worked for Unitus Capital in Bangalore before moving to the city of his roots, Kolkata, where he joined Arohan Financial Services Ltd as VP and headed finance, fundraising and HR.
In 2014, Jaydeep co-founded Wings Learning Centres, a chain of affordable education centres for low-income communities. He joined Calcutta Rescue as CEO in 2017.

Ajita Karar holds Bachelors of Commerce (Hons) from the Burdwan University and post-graduate in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations.
He has begun his career with Calcutta Rescue as a junior team member and gradually upgraded to the Managerial position. He has devised and developed Calcutta Rescue HR system and procedure way back in 2000 when the task was entrusted to him. He feels honored to be associated with Calcutta Rescue with this philanthropic work and for working with great personality like Dr. Jack.
Ruby Sen joined Calcutta Rescue in 2009. She has more than 24 years of experience in Finance and Accounts and has worked for both social and corporate sector. Having worked for the corporate sector for a few years, she switched to the social sector, motivated to give back to society.
She is a graduate in Commerce from Calcutta University and has completed the Chartered Accountancy Intermediate examination.
Besides managing her role as Finance Manager in Calcutta Rescue, she has taken an initiative and contributed to local fundraising to a large extent.

A post-graduation in Economics and a PGD in HRD, has around 2 decades of experience of working in the Development sector handling various portfolios in the field of health, microfinance, women and children issues, livelihood, agriculture, natural resource management sector in various responsibilities. Have closely worked with various government departments, corporates and international donors spearheading fundraising activities.
She had setup a startup which promoted the rural Kantha artisans work in a unique way and was selected by a programme called All India Road Show for Economic Empowerment of Women’s Entrepreneurs amongst the top 30 women entrepreneurs in India.
The trust and openness between Calcutta Rescue and the donors is very strong and is worth portraying.
