Frontline staff got Covid Vaccine

From 8th February, Calcutta Rescue staff started receiving the Covid vaccination.

Twenty three Calcutta Rescue staff and doctors got the Covid vaccination on the first day. They will now be strictly monitored and will get the second dose within 28 days.

The charity has registered seventy one medical staff, drivers and helpers for the AstraZeneca vaccine also known as Covishield in India.

Calcutta Rescue head of Street Medicine Debu said, “This is the first batch of CR staff to get vaccinated. After we complete the vaccination for the medical team we’ll bring drivers and helpers.“

Till now 68 staff has been vaccinated. Rest will be done as soonas possible as well.

Calcutta Rescue is also vouching for patients over age 50 and with vulnerable diseases to get vaccinated.
