• The Mobile Health Shield: The Street Medicine team immediately stepped in. Calcutta Rescue placed her on a strict regimen of regular clinical follow-ups, fully funded diabetes medications, and intensive social counseling to help her manage her diet and emotional trauma.
• Reclaiming Her Future: Thanks to continuous, door-to-door community care, Lal Banu’s blood sugar levels have completely stabilized, and she has regained her physical strength. She no longer has to fight for survival alone; Calcutta Rescue has become the family and the medical anchor she desperately needed.

About the Calcutta Rescue Street Medicine Programme

Our specialized mobile medical vans operate directly on the frontlines under flyovers and within hidden slum pockets. Resuming expanded operations across 8 primary slum areas, our teams visit each cluster at least twice a month to distribute essential medicines, provide clinical checkups, and dispense sanitary napkins to promote critical menstrual hygiene. We continuously register new, ultra-vulnerable patients to shield them from economic and medical ruin.
